Appalachian Anthropocene
This ethno-historical project engages women living in Murray County, Georgia, in the study of the “Appalachian Anthropocene” through acts of wayfinding, wherein women direct attention to observed changes in their local environments and guide interpretation of their causes and effects. A primary subject explored has been "climate memory" and extreme weather. Research for this project is ongoing and has been made possible by a Faculty Research Grant from Georgia College & State University (2024-2025).
